Now a days, every company who have a huge customer base is trying to head over to the wallet business. Recently, Amazon and some other companies entered into this market. Though, Paytm is in the top of this, but their competitors are increasing day by day. Today, the state run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched BSNL Wallet app in partnership with Mobikwik.
About BSNL Wallet App
BSNL already has a huge customer base of over 100 Million users. So, they simply launched their mobile wallet app which is issued by Mobikwik, a leading online recharge and bill payment platform. As of now, users can recharge their mobiles, pay bills, book buses and use BSNL wallet for online shopping. But soon, they will add some other services in BSNL wallet app.
According to a report by Economic Times, users can use BSNL wallets at over 1.5 million merchants all over the India. So, this is going to be the largest wallet in India launched by a telecom operator. BSNL wallet app is developed and delivered by Mobikwik itself. This is a step towards Digital India by availing the features of online payment in both rural and semi-urban areas across India. This will also help India to get a cashless economy in it which is also wanted by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
